Ashlea Andrews is an enthusiastic registered nurse, midwife and Calmbirth® instructor with a passion for helping people. She commenced her working life as a nurse helping those unwell and then branched off to become a midwife. She hardly views helping families bring life into the world as work, rather a privilege. Through her vast experience as a midwife, she discovered her passion in guiding families through the incredible journey of childbirth.
Her experience teaching hospital Antenatal Education Classes were a great learning curve, but she noticed something missing. She wanted couples to be inspired and empowered about their birth, and this motivation led her to Calmbirth®. She saw the Calmbirth® education program as a window for families to achieve a wonderful and fearless experience. This led her career toward becoming a Calmbirth® instructor which she has found a truly rewarding journey. She also works as a passionate member of a Midwifery Group Practice model of care at a large Melbourne hospital.
